Computer-controlled orbital TIG welding for pharmaceutical, semiconductor, food-grade, hydrogen & high-purity piping. Zero-defect welds with full documentation. Certified operators in UAE & Qatar.
In industries where piping integrity is non-negotiable — pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, food processing, hydrogen systems, and biotechnology — manual welding simply cannot deliver the consistency, repeatability, and documentation that modern standards demand. Orbital welding is the solution: a fully automated process where the welding torch rotates around a stationary pipe joint, producing identical, flawless welds every single time.
Aamtron Group operates a fleet of advanced orbital welding systems with certified operators across both UAE and Qatar. Whether you need sanitary tubing for a dairy plant in Dubai or high-purity gas lines for a semiconductor fab in Doha, our orbital welding capability ensures every joint meets the most stringent quality requirements.
Manual TIG welding depends entirely on the welder's skill, fatigue level, and consistency. Even the best manual welder cannot produce identical welds across hundreds of joints in a piping system. Variations in penetration depth, bead profile, heat input, and internal surface finish are inevitable. In critical applications, these variations create weak points — areas where bacteria can harbor (pharmaceutical), contamination can occur (semiconductor), or leaks can develop (hydrogen). Orbital welding eliminates this human variability entirely.
The orbital welding system clamps around the pipe joint with a precisely machined weld head. The tungsten electrode rotates 360° around the joint while a computer controls every parameter: welding current, arc voltage, travel speed, wire feed rate, pulse frequency, and purge gas flow. The entire pipe interior is flooded with ultra-high-purity argon gas (99.9999%) to prevent oxidation — producing a smooth, bright, oxide-free internal weld surface. Each weld is completed in minutes and the parameters are logged automatically for complete traceability.
ASME BPE compliant orbital welding for Water-for-Injection (WFI) systems, Clean Steam generators, CIP/SIP circuits, and process piping. Internal surface finish Ra ≤ 0.5 µm. Borescope inspection on every weld. Fully passivated systems delivered with complete weld documentation packages for FDA and GMP compliance.
Ultra-high-purity (UHP) gas distribution piping for fab cleanrooms. Specialty gases (silane, arsine, phosphine, NF3) require absolutely leak-free, particle-free piping. We use electropolished SS316L with orbital welding and 100% helium leak testing to achieve the 10â»â¹ mbar·L/s leak rates required by semiconductor fabrication standards.
3-A sanitary standards compliant orbital welding for dairy, brewery, beverage, and food processing plants. Smooth internal welds prevent product entrapment and bacterial growth. CIP-cleanable joints that maintain hygienic integrity through thousands of cleaning cycles. HACCP compliant documentation provided.
ASME B31.12 compliant orbital welding for hydrogen piping. The automated process ensures consistent penetration and smooth internal surfaces that resist hydrogen permeation. Every weld is helium leak-tested to guarantee zero-leak integrity for H2 service at pressures up to 700 bar.
Process piping for corrosive chemical service using exotic alloys (Hastelloy C-276, Inconel 625, Duplex 2205). Orbital welding with qualified WPS for each base material ensures full penetration welds that resist corrosion, stress cracking, and fatigue in demanding chemical environments.

Orbital welding is an automated TIG (GTAW) process where the torch rotates 360° around a stationary pipe. Unlike manual welding, every parameter is computer-controlled — producing identical, zero-defect welds with complete traceability. It eliminates human variability and is essential for pharmaceutical, food-grade, and hydrogen piping.
Our equipment handles 6mm (¼") to 168mm (6") OD using enclosed weld heads, and larger diameters using open-head orbital systems. We weld all standard wall thicknesses from thin-wall sanitary tubing (1.65mm) to Schedule 80 heavy wall.
While not always legally mandated, ASME BPE requires smooth, crevice-free internal surfaces (Ra ≤ 0.5 µm) that manual welding cannot consistently achieve. Orbital welding is the industry standard for pharmaceutical and biotech piping to ensure FDA/GMP compliance and cleanability.
Every weld gets a unique ID with documented parameters (current, voltage, speed, gas flow), operator certification, visual inspection, and NDE reports. Complete packages include WPS, PQR, weld logs, and material traceability — ready for regulatory audit.
Yes. We have qualified WPS for SS304, SS316L, Duplex 2205, Super Duplex 2507, Hastelloy C-276, Inconel 625, and Titanium Grade 2. Each requires specific parameters, filler metals, and purge strategies — all covered by our procedures.
